Welcome to our farm's web site!

Shoestring Farm is a small farm growing vegetables and small fruits on approximately 3 cultivated acres.

We also produce maple syrup and honey, as well as plants for sale in spring--perennial and annual flowers, vegetable starts, and herbs. Our 22 acre farm is located on Christian Hill in Colrain, Massachusetts in the Deerfield River Watershed.

Rich Pascale has farmed full-time since 1972. Rich is one of the co-founders and growers for Common Wealth Cooperative CSA and has been a vendor at the Greenfield Farmer’s Market since it began in 1975.

Jay Snyder began working at Shoestring Farm in 2001 and has been co-working the farm with Rich since 2004.  Jay co-founded the Marlboro College Farm Project and has traveled to the U.K. to volunteer on small organic farms as part of WWOOF, Willing Workers Opportunities on Organic Farms.
